Rubicrawler
I think it would be nice for the 2.72:1 gearing, but I don't think that I would really use the low setting on the crawler and transfer case very often. I like the Rubi Crawler since it seems like it would be more useful to me than a 4 speed Atlas for the money.
has any one used one of these or heard of them

The RubiCrawler’s performance on the trail was stellar! Since our JK is not a Rubicon model, the stock NP241 has the 2.72:1 low range gear-set. Two wheel drive (rear) low can now be achieved with the RubiCrawler in low range and the Transfer case in 2wd High. Due to the JK’s underpowered V-6, we used the RubiCrawler in the low range any time we left the pavement. This gave us great acceleration and control and a much lower transmission temperature than with 2wd high.
On mild obstacles we went into 4WD high range and the RubiCrawler in low which gave us identical performance to the stock transfer case. For the difficult obstacles, we had both gear boxes in low which gave us a 7.40:1 transfer case ratio (total crawl ratio of 108:1), making the JK crawl like no other.

I was getting excited until i read that it is only for automatics....BAH!!!!
How much is it?? If it is anywhere NEAR the cost of an ATLAS, I would just get an ATLAS 3 speed as it is much beefer than the stock t-case and you get more gearing options.

Stock New Process 231/241 are a 2.72:1 and a 7.40:1
Stock NP Rocktrac are a 2.72:1, 4.0:1 and a 10.88:1
Atlas 2.0 are 2.0:1, 2.72:1 and a 5.44:1
Atlas 3.0 are 2.72:1, 3.0:1 and a 8.16:1
Atlas 3.8 are 2.72:1, 3.8:1 and a 10.44:1
Atlas 4.3 are 2.72:1, 4.3:1 and a 11.70:1
Atlas 5.0 are 2.72:1, 5.0:1 and a 13.60:1
We have also designed an electronic interface assembly that integrates the RubiCrawler into the Jeep Wranglers electronics. The primary function of the RubiCrawler Control Module is to allow the Rubicon’s locking differentials and disconnecting swaybar (JK only) to operate when the Rubicrawler low is engaged. When this module is installed and the RubiCrawler is engaged in 2.72 low, the Rubicon’s electronics and features will operate just like the stock vehicle in low range. For Jeep JK owners, this has the added advantage of allowing the vehicle to be driven in 2 wheel drive (low) and have the stability control system turned off automatically.
