Question Rugged Ridge Bumpers???

Rugged Ridge Winch Mount Modular HD bumper...it can be modified with all kinds of stuff...winch hoop, stinger hoop, end caps, stainless accessories. But...

Does anyone out there have this bumper yet??? I saw it on Quadratec's website as a new product and it seems pretty nice, the only thing it doesn't have is fog light tabs for aftermarket lights...other than that it's a great price & looks pretty good. Anybody know of any quality issues with Rugged Ridge??

I am really in love with Shrockworks stubby but it's an additional $300 more than this bumper...$300 that could go towards a winch or another mod.

Yeah, but if you could see the quality of the construction and finish of the two in person as I have, I really think the extra cost is worth every penny. Yes, Shrockworks is a sponsor here and you can take my opinion for whatever it's worth.

I have bought stuff from RR in the past and their quality seems to be as good as Chryslers when they built the JK to begin with. Whatever thats worth ha ha

don't have mine yet... but i can tell you right now that they do have cutouts for the factory fogs. both the winch and non winch version have the fog light holes. the non winch version has two holes in the top to mount extra lights. if you want some extra lights you can get the RRC tube guard which has 4 light tabs on it.

I like the RR design over everything else i've seen out there... just something about it makes it appealing. ARB was my 2nd choice...

I have the winch bumper with the optional ends. Good quality stuff and it all fit just right. It is hard to compare this or many other bumpers with the shrockworks. The Shrockworks bumpers are made like a tank and if you are going to be beating it on the rocks all the time then not many bumpers will hold up as well as the Shrockworks. I got the RR bumper because when I want to do some hard wheeling I can remove the ends quickly and have a nice stubby bumper with really stout recovery points. It does have many options for it and I like that.

Overall it is as good as many of the other bumpers on the market with the exception of the heavy duty bumper guys like Shrockworks.

Default Pics Please!!!!

I would also like to see pics...I did not realize that it had foglight cutouts until I posted this, although I do not have factory fog lights I'm sure you can pic up something to put in there...

I realize the quality of the Shrockworks bumper and it is my first choice...but the price is steep and like I said with that extra $$$ I could do another mod such as a winch...

You'll regret not spending the $$$ on the higher end bumper, theres a reason its cheaper...

Default RR bumper

Ok, here are some pics, I don't have a winch on it yet. The only issue I have found so far is that at full stuff with my 35"s they will rub the ends. I will have to do some slight trimming if I want to wheel with then ends on. It is no big deal to me since I will remove the ends for wheeling. The basic bumper comes with end caps so the bumper looks good without any ends.

The included front tow rings are very stout and bolted directly to the frame. I also like the way the factory fog lights are recessed, you could really take a hit on the front and not damage the fog lights.
