Rugged Ridge emblem
When I recieved the skid plate I opened it up seen that it was made in China and thought that the Chineese had a run away water jet cutter or I recieved a defective part. But when the jack mount showed up it too had the cut out as shown in the picks. It isn't worth sending these items back. I don't mind the jack mount but the cutout ruins the look of the skid plate and is altering the design of the guard I was going to mount above it.
I happen to like the RR logo, it reminds me of Monument Valley, BUT I do not like it well enough to wish it cut into a fabricated piece I buy from them. They certainly aren't the first nor will they be the last manufacturer to do it. The first place I website I went to looking at bumpers for our new Jeep was Warn's. My visit lasted until I saw the "W" cut into them.
I have never driven a vehicle with a dealer name plate or decal stuck on either.

I went with a warn bumper on my jeep. I knew of the W's but after installing it found out two things. 1. I needed to buy a $100 adapter plate for it to accept the Warn winch. 2. Even after max adjustment the OEM fog lights pointed at the ground, I had to modify their light brackets, basicaly cut the bottom of the bracket off and welded it so that the lamps could be adjusted to work. Also blasted them off and re powdercoated them before install. In general the jeep aftermarket is very similar to the jeep vehicle when it comes to common sense. IMHO
Agreed...I wish companies would stop doing that. Removeable decals are fine, but I hate when they cut the logo into a product (which us removing their brand names is why they do that I'm sure.)
My poison spyder stuff is the same way...really wish they would have just left the logos off of it.
