They fedex'd me the shims overnight and they worked perfectly.

If you play with the depth of the spacer fix you can get a really clean install.

I got it to fit just right with the break-away feature still working as designed.






I'm not sure if they changed the bracket to allow for better view from the drivers side with the door installed or not, but I can see the full mirror with any obstruction. The passenger side is still blocked by the door when installed, but we know that... I just used a .99 cent blind spot mirror on it to compensate for the loss of view.


BTW....

For those that have trouble getting the mirrors off the original mounts ...

Here is a quick write up from Bill from Rugged Ridge...


"What I have done is, using the breakaway feature in the mirror, switching from front to rear and tapping the bottom of the mirror with the palm of your hand. it may take a few tries but should work itself free. "


This worked like a charm for me...
