This has been discussed several times in different threads... I think this one best describes what people want and why it was designed the way it was...

As for 2010 they (Jeep) went back to a larger mirror head shaft ?? The inserts were added for 08 -09's because they were made smaller after 2007's. Also it appears that the 2011 JK will have power heated mirrors so we will be working on a GenII of the relocation bracket. At this time we will be looking to see what can be done to improve the product.

I know that a lot of people feel that these could have been designed better.... If they are so bad why has nobody else developed a better mouse trap that mounts the way ours does? I'm not saying ours is the perfect part... far from it. We know of the limitations but it comes down to a LOT of factors regarding how it's made, the noise it makes, the way it looks, and what people are willing to pay.

Yeah, I think these pretty much suck! I had to take mine off anyway to make room for RiverRaider snorkel. I left the driver one on, but they really do not cover this well...plus on the site I ordered them from, the MOPAR part says nothing about blink spot...RR, however, does....bought both, but sent the MOPAR ones back...

Fun to roll with doors off and one mirror better than none!

Default Mirrors off

Will I get a ticket for not having the mirrors on since I took the doors off ? Might be better buying the mirror relocators than paying a ticket or make my own.

Depends on what the law is in your state. Some states only require the one rearward facing mirror in the cabin of the vehicle and that's it. Where I am, NC, the law states that there must be a rearward facing mirror outside of the passenger area and located on the drivers side.

Anyone have trouble getting the factory mirrors out of the original brackets. I've been rocking these things and pulling.. I'm afraid I'm going to snap them off.

Any ideas??
