Hello.
I have not seen this while searching for info on the RR bumper, so I'll start a new thread.
I just picked up the RR bumper (with standard ends and skid plate), I also got a Warn Power plant, and the required spacer from RR that will allow it to be mounted.
I have not yet mounted anything and I was thinking about an article I read about synthetic line failure. The problem in both line failures was that the winch line was wound around the winch drum backwards, meaning that the line was rubbing the top side of the cutout in the inside of the bumper.
I started getting worried that the Powerplant will be raised so high (because it is too big to fit into the winch cutout in the bumper?) that even with winding the line to the bottom of the drum, I might be creating the same situation.
Does anyone out there have this combination?
I also picked up a cheap Superwinch, which I was going to mount on a hitch cradle and use at the rear end if required.
Now, I'm wondering if I shouldn't mount the cheap one up front, and keep the Warn safe and dry in the back because there are frequent deep holes along most of the trails around here. (I don't want to be submerging the powerplant if I can avoid it)
So, If you have a Powerplant on the Rugged Ridge bumper please chime in.
And how hard would it be to use the compresser on the powerplant from the hitch?

OK, I hope my concerns are unfounded.
today after work I opened up some of the boxes, the first of which was the winch adapter bracket.
It is basically a plate 3/4 inch thick that raises the winch, SO, being that it is only 3/4 of an inch, I'm hoping I will be alright.
If you have the RR winch bumper, would your winch rub the top of the line cutout if it was raised 3/4 inch?
