Have you tried your setup out under load to see if it spools onto the drum properly? The Rugged Ridge engineer that I spoke with is the one that told me I needed to cut out a section on top of the bumper. He said that their updated (not yet in production) center section has this area cut out to allow for use of the SuperWinch EPi9.0. After putting the nuts in the winch, I put small pieces of electrical tape over the holes to make sure they wouldn't fall out during the install.

Did you run your wiring along the frame rails, then up to the battery?

Thanks!
I haven't had mine under load yet but have spooled it out and re-spooled it...with no problems. I asked the same question when i was installing mine and the guy who answered me said that he 'had' had it under loads at various angles and never had any problems, it spooled fine.
good idea using the electrical tape...would have saved me from getting super glue all over my fingers...lol
Ran the wires along side the frame rails (zip tying it every 6-9 inches when possible) and straight up to the battery. With the KC lights and the winch, my battery terminals are getting pretty 'busy'....looking to get an Optima red top with the side posts and the top posts..

BTW...did you get any pics of your 'cut out'? just in case I do have problems...I may want to remount.

Yep I ordered one today from them and got free shipping. I also ordered the hoop bar. For my birthday my new family is going in on a Mile Marker PE8000 winch from Costco for $370 shipped!

I'll get pics as soon as I get everything.

for the price I think this is the best bumber replacement. I like the rear bumber the most. If I had any money to start I'd replace the back one first.

Great pics
