Default Rugged Ridge Recovery Kit?

I've been meaning to pick up a tree saver and a block since I got my winch installed and have been looking at complete kits. I spoted this while flipping through a JP Magazine a while back.

Parts Included:
2 9,500lb D-Rings
1 20,000lb Snatch Block Pulley
1 Winch Line Dampener
1 2" x 30' 20,000lb Recovery Strap
1 3" x 6' 30,000lb Tree Trunk Protector Strap
1 Pair of Recovery Gloves
1 Durable Recovery Gear Bag

Figured that was all I really need for a starter winch kit. I have 4 Teraflex shackles I keep in my JK should I need to pull something with my D rings so the shackles in this kit are extra but you can never have to many of those.

Bottom line price, $99. That's about $150 less than the ARB/Warn kits. The only differences I can see between this kit and the ARB/Warn kits is this doesn't come with a chain.

Any thoughts?

The quality of the components is a huge difference. The ARB straps are the highest quality straps on the market in my opinion.

David,

Is that the primary reason you don't carry any of their (Rugged Ridge) stuff on your site? I was poking around looking at tree savers and the like as I'm putting together an order from you. I've never seen anything Rugged Ridge on your site.

We sell all of the Rugged ridge stuff and can get you it all. Some of the stuff is really nice and some of the other stuff is ok. When it comes to recovery gear buy the best that you can afford.

I ended up getting that from JC Whitney for that price. I just needed an inexpensive starter kit. I will go better later but this kit allows me to head out with the local club.
