Question Running 35s on 2011 Rubi - Thinking Teraflex

I really need some help figuring out what I need in terms of parts, etc. I want to do it right and not cut any corners. I want to run 35s on my stock rims. I want it to drive almost as good onroad as it does off...not looking to do anyting "crazy." I have a 2011 Ruicon. Also, it is important to me that all the stock electronic features operate post any lift (i.e. the sway bar discos and lockers). I was looking at this Teraflex lift as a nice, middle of the road option (http://www.quadratec.com/products/16194_0000_07.htm). I notice that they recommend both the Front Adjustable Trackbar (http://www.quadratec.com/products/16191_9102_07.htm) and the Front Lower FlexArms (http://www.quadratec.com/products/16196_0000_07.htm). Also I would need shocks. So here are my questions:

1. What do the Front Adjustable Trackbar and Front Lower FlexArms do and do I need them. Does it improve the ride, etc?
2. What shocks do you recommend and why?
3. Am I missing anything else? Like I said I would rather do it right the first time and spend the extra bucks rather than have to go back and "fix" or "add" things.

Alternatively, maybe I just need the 2.5" Lift (http://www.quadratec.com/products/16190_2501_07.htm)?

1. What am i loosing going with the 2.5 I pasted the link for vs. the 3" i pasted the link for?
2. It will be a faily driver and it appears the 2.5 is marketed as better for a daily driver? I have no idea...
3. Can I rum my stock wheels with the 2.5? Will I need any adaptors?

Thanks in advance for the help!

EDIT: It is a manual 2 door.

Michael

You're asking all the right questions and there are a ton of people who will give you there here's mine:

First, you can't go wrong with Tera Flex and given what you are looking to do it's a great choice. A buddy of mine is running there short arm kit with 35's and it's very smooth on road and has kept up with really built rigs off. To adjust the pinion angle you'll either need cam bolts (don't do it) or control arms and that's why they are recommending them. Also, the adjustable track bar is needed to recenter your axle after the lift. For the wheels you'll need spacers with the oem wheels. Do you have a auto or stick? If auto, then you'll most likely rip your front DS boot on droop so it's something you'll want to consider when budgeting (not needed initially but will need at some point). For shocks the Tera Flex 9550 or Bilstein 5100 are good choices. As for your e-disco and lockers they will work as they did before the lift.

Good luck with your build and post up pics when you've got it lifted!

After doing some research and reading I think 2.5" Teraflex is the way for me to go.

Now the question is which kit should I go with?

http://www.quadratec.com/products/16190_2500_07.htm
http://www.quadratec.com/products/16190_2501_07.htm
http://www.quadratec.com/products/16190_2502_07.htm

Also, with the 2.5" should I get any of the extras? Front Adjustable Trackbar or Front Lower FlexArms ? Like I said I want to do it right the first time.

Thoughts sooner are great as I would like to get this goin' in the next couple weeks! Thanks!

i went with the one with shocks, but seeing you have a brandspankinnew rubi you could probably do the shock extenders, most people say the rubi shocks are better then the teraflex ones

I would look at the 3" zone kit. It made the ride so much better that the rubicon bb I had. I dropped the 33 iroks for a set of 35" pitbull rockers and the zone lift with shocks. The ride is great. Been great on and off road. Made a trip to hot springs and it performed great. Great bank for the buck.

Since you have a brand new Rubi, I would run the 2.5" Coils with shock adapters. Use your stock Rubi shocks until they go bad. I have run that setup for over 20K mi and still rides smooth as new and capable off-road.

You may eventually want to look at adjustible trackbars, control arms, etc, but with the 2.5" you will not need them right off the bat. I haven't run any of them and I have no problems (though I bought them for my TF 4" lift upgrade).

ALSO, look at Northridge4x4 or one of the other sponsor vendors on here. Qtec is usually off the charts for shipping costs and Northridge offers free shipping, plus you can't beat the customer service.

Why do you say I will not "need them right off the bat?" Not questioning your knowledge, I just want to kinda do it right in one shot and not have to go back and "fix" anything. I realize I might want to "upgrade" later, but I want as close to stock ride "feeling" and I also want to do it, like I said, I one shot.

If you want to do it "right" the first time, get adj trackbars front and rear. Front lower adj ca's for castor, and rear upper adj CA's for adjusting pinion angle if you change the rear ds later. Or just get a full flex arm kit for complete adjustability.

Thanks man. Can you send me links to all the parts you just mentioned. I want to go with the teraflex 2.5" coil, so I have that. Sorry, to be a pain, I just like to do lots of reading and understand EXACTLY what everyone is referring to...so if you can hook me up with web links to all the things you mentioned that would be awesome!
