Running 35s on 2011 Rubi - Thinking Teraflex
Thanks man. Can you send me links to all the parts you just mentioned. I want to go with the teraflex 2.5" coil, so I have that. Sorry, to be a pain, I just like to do lots of reading and understand EXACTLY what everyone is referring to...so if you can hook me up with web links to all the things you mentioned that would be awesome!

Now these are all Teraflex products, I suggest you call David at Northridge and tell him your concerns about a complete lift and he'll set you up and give you a great price.
I really need some help figuring out what I need in terms of parts, etc. I want to do it right and not cut any corners. I want to run 35s on my stock rims. I want it to drive almost as good onroad as it does off...not looking to do anyting "crazy." I have a 2011 Ruicon. Also, it is important to me that all the stock electronic features operate post any lift (i.e. the sway bar discos and lockers). I was looking at this Teraflex lift as a nice, middle of the road option (http://www.quadratec.com/products/16194_0000_07.htm). I notice that they recommend both the Front Adjustable Trackbar (http://www.quadratec.com/products/16191_9102_07.htm) and the Front Lower FlexArms (http://www.quadratec.com/products/16196_0000_07.htm). Also I would need shocks. So here are my questions:
1. What do the Front Adjustable Trackbar and Front Lower FlexArms do and do I need them. Does it improve the ride, etc?
2. What shocks do you recommend and why?
3. Am I missing anything else? Like I said I would rather do it right the first time and spend the extra bucks rather than have to go back and "fix" or "add" things.
Alternatively, maybe I just need the 2.5" Lift (http://www.quadratec.com/products/16190_2501_07.htm)?
1. What am i loosing going with the 2.5 I pasted the link for vs. the 3" i pasted the link for?
2. It will be a faily driver and it appears the 2.5 is marketed as better for a daily driver? I have no idea...
3. Can I rum my stock wheels with the 2.5? Will I need any adaptors?
Thanks in advance for the help!
EDIT: It is a manual 2 door.

for starters it rides rougher than stock, mainly because i am still running stock control arms all around. if you wanted to do it right the first time then i would suggest atleast front lowers (this WILL give you a better on-road ride) along with a rear adjustable trackbar, and everything else that i am running above. the rougher ride doesnt bother me but it is all a matter of preference. in regards to the shock adaptors that is completely up to you... if you plan on running the teraflex 9550s anyways then i would get the complete kit with the shocks. if you plan on running something else for shocks like the bilsteins then i would use the rubicon shocks with the adaptors from the kit (save $$) and take some time to find the best shocks you can afford down the road. as far as drive shafts are conserned at 2.5" you will be fine for longer than if you run a 3"+ lift. i was flexed on the rubicon trail to a point where my front coils could be pulled off perches with one hand without any driveshaft boot rubbing issues.
off-road it does very well......

If you're gonna buy all the trackbars and control arms, might as well go with the 3" kit.
You'll still need to buy the trackbars (TF 3" doesn't come with the front as part of the kit), but atleast the kit comes with the necessary brackets and is complete.

, so I think 2.5 is the most I can "get away with." Am I wrong here? Please let me know, I want to make the right decision. Best, Michael
Here's a 3" Lift with the 9550 shocks and believe me I LOVE IT!!
I will say this you get what you pay for when it comes to shocks. If you spend $300 on each shock you will have a better ride than stock. but if you spend $60 on each shock you will not ride as nice as the stock ones. The Teraflex 9550 are a OK ride but I will be investing in something better down the road.
Make sure you buy the most Important part...The Teraflex Monster Track Bar! Believe me I've seen 4 other brands break! (One of them on another JK in our group broke right a this spot Golden Crack in the last 2 photos)

Just tell him your on project jk-forum. He'll know, and work with you whatever way he can. Standup guy. He may be able to send you a 3in kit with the 2.5 springs or something to that effect. He's not just a salesman, he's very knowledgable and will work to get you set-up to not have to worry about future probs with the suspension components.
