Default Running 35s but towing a Camper?? Need some Obi-wan advice

Okay all, I have a 2011 Majove. I do trail riding only, nothing major offroad. I have Ruby suspension and 3.73 gears. I love the expedition look. I have done arb awning, gobi rack, ace stubby bumper and warn 10000s winch. I just bought AEV Savegre 17 wheels. I want to run 35x12.50. I am buying the TF BB 2.5 next week. I am also buying a AEV module. I pull a 1900lb camper. I love it but 6th gear is gone when pulling. Its nice having the low end power for sure. My question what else will I need to run the 35s? I have been reading the other thread but I am not sure about the rear gear since I tow???? Any info would be great. I live in VA now but will be moving to Oregon next year so there will be hills...thanks so much. Trying to get what I need and do it right the first time.

The other option is to run a 33x12.50 with stock rubi suspension and my AEV wheels and wait on the 35 till I do either the Hemi or diesel swap in 2-3 years.

What's wrong with the 33"s and 2.5" lift? I love my 285/70/17 with TF 2.5" lift.

But if you are going to go 35" tires and pulling a camper, you should REALLY regear. If you have already lost 6th with just the camper, the 35"s will take another gear, plus moving to Hills... Eek.

I would suggest the 35"s, regear, and 2.5" lift. If you have the money.

If not: 33"s, regear, leveling kit? maybe?.
Or: 33"s, leveling kit or 2.5" lift.

Gears!
5.13's if your not wheeling, 4.88's if your wheeling it.

You got that backwards.

4.88s if your NOT going to wheel it. 5.13s if you ARE going to wheel it.

In fact since you are towing I would NOT even consider 4.88s. You will not be happy, especially in Oregon.

If you have an auto then yup that would be your best option.

I have 35s, 4.11s and the 6-speed and often tow a trailer and I do wish I had better gearing (4.88 in my case). I've even gone down to 4th to get up some hills on the highway.. Also having the lower first gear is nice to help get the jeep moving and also helps when back it up. Gas millage should get better I'd figure..

I'm towing a 3,600 pound sailboat tomorrow morning.. Luckily I'm only going about a 1/2 mile down a private road. I certainly wish I had lower gears for it just to help with the pull.. Right now I go into four low to back it up because it is easier to control the speed of the trailer but having it in 4wd making steering harder.

488's would be perfect for towing and wheeling with 35's. Have that exact setup and used to tow a 3600lb pop-up. Just get yourself a brake controller if you don't already have one.

That's what I would recommend. With yours being a manual transmission 4.88s would be fine if you were NOT towing. Don't forget that that not only are the 35s taller, but extremely heavier.
