Default Rusty's 2" basic lift question....

I see most of the budget kits have new bumpstops, but Rusty's comes with new springs and shocks....nothing else....do I need to add new stops or do the larger springs not require them?

Also, anything else I should need with this kit?

Yes, bump stop extensions are typically needed in order to prevent the over compression of your coils. New longer shocks is the only other thing I would recommend with this kit.

Well, for whatever it's worth, that might be because both kits come with new coils and perhaps they have been designed in a way to withstand a lot of compression without loosing its original shape.

I ordered the bumpstops from Full Traction for about $60. Theirs are aluminum, I wanted to be safe. They limit the travel so that my brake lines don't get stretched out too far. Plus I fit 35's with the a front .75" spacer on top of the Rusty's 2" coils. They say that the way their coils are made, the extensions aren't necessary.

If the Rusty's coils are designed to be used with the stock bumpstops, would it have made more sense to spend the money on extended stainless brake lines? I figure that would keep the extra flex and keep the brake lines safe. I am also considering the Rusty's would prefer to go the extrended brake line route if it will solve the problem.

I put the .75" spacers on the front to level it out so the front has 2.75" of lift. The bumpstop extensions help keep the 35's from hitting the fenders. I only have about 1/2" left at full flex (resting on the bumpstop) it would rub without them.

Thanks for the help, if it is going to rub with out bumpstops, than getting them would be the way to go. Do you think they would rub with 33's?
