Ok I've read many of post about 3rd row seating in a 4 door but I want to find a safe one, any one know of a option?

 

teraflex makes brackets to drop a 2 dr rear seat right into the cargo area of an unlimited. No fuss. Not sure about seatbelts

 

I saw that just trying to see how hard it is to find a JK 2 door rear seat

 

The TJ rear seat should work too. It was quite close to fitting in the rear of my 2dr.

 

Lots of two door owners remove and sell them. Place a WTB ad in the for sale section. You can also search Craigslist nationwide using searchtempest.com

 

Littlepassengerseats.com if your looking for extra seating for kids. I think they recommend for up to 12 years old.

 

We went with the the little passenger seats deluxe package as it comes complete with 3 point seatbelts. The installation is bolt in with 2 plates that sandwich the floor. The brackets to install the 2 door seat were tempting, but needed welding and figuring out the seatbelts.

The seats were trimmed to match the interior.

As for safety, the examples of the same seats on the little passengers website were convincing to me. We also contacted our insurers and they had no issues with the installation and didn't increase our premiums. We have had the seats installed intermittently when needed for almost 4 years and are happy with them.
