Default Sahara with 16 inch wheels and no lift...

I am looking to replace my tires soon. I would like more rubber vs. the stock 18's on my Jeep. I have no plans to lift or even BB the Jeep. Does anyone have any experience or pictures of a JK with 16 inch wheels and tires with zero "issues"? Thanks.

Some come from the factory with 16's so it's no problem

You can get your jk stock with a set of 16 from the factory, so you'll have no issue running them. You start to run into issues with 15 and the clearance from the caliper, but a bit of grinding and it's all good. Search the forums and you'll find what ones fit good ( for 15). But 16 are no problems.

Check craigslist. Around here there are tons of people trying to get rid of their stock 16's. In '07, you could even get a 16" aluminum wheel. After that, I think all the factory 16's are steelies.

No offense; but I think you guys are missing the point. Why would I want ugly, thin, factory 16 in steel wheel? I am looking for a nice aftermarket 16 inch wheel with proper backspacing to fit a taller sidewall & wider tire in an overall 32 inch package.

I give up..........I have 32's now. I would like to know if there is a member here running 16 inch wheels on a JKU with 32 inch tires and no lift. Not stock steel crappy wheels...but aftermarket, properly backspaced wheels. Thanks. Pics would be great.

This is close. Third post is pics with 305/70/16s, somewhere between 32s and 33s.

Discount Tires has several different 16 inch alloys that have a 4.5inch backspace. People run 33's on them without issue...

The reason people are so confused is wide 32's are not a very common tire size.... 285/75/16 or 305/70/16 is probably what you are looking for but those are considered 33's... 32.8 to be exact(probably closer to 32 mounted)... Nitto makes a 285/70/16 which would be a 31.7 inch tire (likely just under 31 mounted) <- this would be the closest to OEM size but not a very common size.
