Was out a couple weekends back and ended up catching my front differential on a rock. Sheared the cover and housing on the bottom of it and as a result broke the seal and I'm leaking oil. See pics.

Also managed to bang and scrape my rear differential housing and cover. The housing has a dent in it and it seems to have caused a structural crack (to the right of dent) on the surface of the rear diff housing (see surface rust areas in pic, one is the dent and to the right of it is the crack). Also leaking oil from diff cover in the rear as the scrape/impact jarred the seal.
Hoping this isn't a bigger problem then just the RTV sealant needing replacement. Thoughts?

Front is not an issue that a new cover and rtv can't solve but the rear is def an issue. Never seen a dented cracked center section before but I would say start looking for a new 44 rear as I don't that ones long for this world

id personally get new dif covers to be safe, but new rtv may do the trick. If it doesnt your out the oil and rtv costs....

Yeah I'm worried the structural damage on the rear is going to be a bigger problem then just the seal. Anyone else have any input or experience

You must have hit that rear pretty hard. I'd get some new covers and RTV. Keep an eye on the crack. If it starts looking wet, you have a problem. I'm sure you could get a welder to patch that up. If you can shave a 14 bolt you can patch a 44 :-)

Take it to a welding shop to see if it's repairable
