Seat Cover Comparison

Not anythig drastic, and quite frankly, I expect fading with the top always off living in san diego. I would rather change $100 seat covers every few years than new seats.
The CK's have worked great and held up to all kinds of abuse, either from being on the trail, the kids in the back seat, or my mud covered a** from a post mountain bike ride.

First off I would love to live San Diego and would expect my whole interior to be faded out since my roof would be off all the time! But living in MA we don't get many sunny days in a row so for my CK's to turn grey seemingly that quick is crazy! I will admit they fit great, were very comfortable and cleaned up quick, but if I remember they even advertised them on the ability to resist fading.
Those covers were pretty faded for being so new and running your top most of the time. I guess I got lucky with mine. I have had minimal fading on my fronts, which have been installed going on two years and my rears got put on last year and show no fading. I have the ones with the charcoal center and not the jet black, maybe that is the difference?
I'm thinking of buying the coverkings to run in the winter months...but after looking at the fading in the pictures now I'm thinking twice about it. I wonder if you can prevent fading on them by using a UV protectant? Has anyone done that? How well did it work?
I got my Smitybilt seat covers around July. The top stayed off my jeep pretty much the whole time from July-September. It stays in the sun during the day when I'm at work and lives in the garage in the evenings when I get home. My seat covers are already faded pretty bad. They fit great, and looked great before they started to fade, but I'll definitely get new ones at some point.
Can't say enough about the Wet Okole's, as far as being durable and comfortable.
As for fitment
As for long lasting
The downside I have is they do get a bit warm in the summer heat, and getting dog hair off is kinda hard.
I bought the wife a 2007 Unlimited in Oct 06 and the first thing I did was order the Okole's in Jan 07. We've had them on ever since.
That said, we have a pitbull and his hair sheds all the time, and since it's that short hair that's guite bristle, it's almost impossible to get the stuff out of the material once it gets in. After spending hours with this I decided to get a set of CoverCraft Seat Savers. I've had a set on my 94XJ for the past 15 years. That's right 15 years, and it's the same set. The Seat Savers are made of cotten drill fabric, much like a good pair of stone washed Levi's. They are water resistant almost to the point of proof. The grand daughter spilled a glass of water on the ones I have in my XJ and after we got home, she told me about it. The water sat for almost 20 minites and did not penitrate the fabric. A towel soaked it right up.
I got the Savers and installed them over the Okole's, although it was a job getting them in place, and they've been on for the past 2 years. The wife loves them as they look good
, fit good
, and are very easy to maintain
The dog hair vacuums right off
Having the Okole's underneath make a nice comfortable seat which stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter, but then the cost for the Okole's were about $480 + the cost of the Savers $210 which means I have almost $700 invested in the covers.
But then again as long as the wife loves them
