Wet Okole covers here, had them on for a few years. No fading yet, spent years in the Southern California desert and I don't get Swamp Ass with these. Waterproof for sure, tight, I don't know about rears though don't have a rear seat and haven't since I brought the Jeep home. I love mine and the next time I need a set for a vehicle it will be another set of these.

I have had the smittybuilt front/rear covers for almost 4 full years, color is still solid.. the stiching on the front 2 seats is now starting to tear at the seams where you slide in to sit... I would buy them again..

has anyone used the Rampage? they are different fabric and cost is much lower, are they crap?

That's good to hear. A friend bought them over the weekend for his jku.

Hopefully he gets those results. I think it's a lot of people in regions where the sun is always out and it's nice year round that it beats up the material?

Here in MI it's winter for 5 months, raining for 2.

I had smitty covers (black/grey) on the silver jku; the black faded very quickly to a purpleish tint. Not sure if other colors might have held up better? They did otherwise hold up well though - never had any issues with them, up until last year when I tried to pull them off to clean them before selling that jeep; some stitching tore, and a strap or two ripped off. Aside from the fading, I feel I got my money's worth out of them.

Had really bad luck with cover kings though; no issues with fading, because they didn't stay on long enough to get a chance to fade.

Put Trek Armors on the new jeep after seeing what a friend put his through and how they held up. Right out of the box there is no mistaking the difference in quality.

Yeah those Trek Armors/Bartacts are bad ass. Just wish they'd come down a bit in price. Even though I'll likely end up with them anyway

Interesting read...

So we just got a 16 JKUHR... Run topless all summer.
What's the best cheapest seat covers to use?

Only reason wanted cheap is just looking for summer time protection on the factory leather.

Would remove the covers when I put the top back on.

I like the Trek... But cant justify the money for 4 months a year usages

I have the all black cover craft covers on my 14 jku. I love them and they are holding up great, I bought the used from a guy. About a year so far, no fading or tears.

Has anybody tried the new bestop jk start covers. They're not neoprene, I believe they're a vinyl type material. Opinions?

I have a 2009 JKU which I purchased new. After looking at seat covers, I didn't find anything I particularly liked. I ended up finding a complete set of Katzkin leather skins on eBay for a 2007 model. At the time it looked like the 2007 prices of Katzkins had dropped due to the 2009 had changed the seats some. Come to find out, the only thing that changed was that the 2007's had a hole on the top of the rear seats for the seatbelt which the 2009's didn't have.

I purchased the 2007's for $200 on eBay. I then went to an auto upholstery place in my area and had them sew in some matching leather to seal the rear seatbelt holes and also had them install the headrest covers while I was there. They charged me $75. So for $275 I now have Katzkin leather seats. I installed them myself where they were pretty easy to install, mostly just time consuming.

I love me Katzkin leather seats. They've been on now for over 6 years. The leather is worn on the driver's side bottom seat from me sliding in and out, where I'll likely just go to a leather upholstery place and have them replace that bottom seat cover. I tried to contact Katzkin but they don't seem to respond to us everyday Joe's looking to purchase replacement sections from their kits.

Here was the only difference between the 2007 and 2009 kits. $275 for leather seats, I'll take it and have been pretty happy.
