Shaved Door Handles (4-door JK)
Exactly. I'm all for customization but not at the expense of functionality. Shaving door handles was popular back in the 90's during the mini-truck craze but I can't see any purpose to it on a JK. Compared to some doors it would probably be pretty easy for an Auto Body Tech such as myself to weld up the holes and fill with body filler but for the average DIY'er I wouldn't suggest it. Doing all 4 doors plus paint and all the electronics would probably run at least $600 or more at a custom shop. Probably even more if they ended up blending the quarters and the fenders. Is this mod really worth that much to you? Sounds like a complete waste of time and money to me.
Next he'll be frenching the antenna and ordering a lowering kit. Probably already has the neon instealled.
Jeff
It's not synonomous with lambo doors. It's just what it sounds like, the handles are essentially "shaved" off....no handles in other words.
Not as simple a process as that, but you get the picture

Hi All --
Thanks for responding to my question ... I have much to consider. But, to clarify, I'm coming from the point of view of an architect - I like to have something that's interesting to look at, but will still be used for off-roading.
To me, the shaved door handles is a very clean-looking effect. Yet, the off-road equipment I still plan to get (see signature line) will still get the point across that I love to wheel.
And, after seeing the pics of the AEV Jeep with the orange/black leather seats, I want those too. But, I don't think leather seats make me a yuppy either. A yuppy is someone who purchased a Jeep with the full doors (just kidding
).
Anyway, thanks again & I totally love this forum!!

you just do what you want. If everyone else's opinions matter that much to you then so be it. But I know i certainly didnt buy a jeep so everyone else can tell me what to mod and what not. Doesn't really matter if anone else doesn't like it, they aren't the ones driving it.
