I was thinking of this kit as well.

I just got off the phone with David at Northridge, who assured me I do not need to replace the shocks in the front (or rear, obviously) - they will not limit the suuspension travel, even at 2".

I just ordered the kit online.

Let me just clarify this statement. Your stock shocks will limit your travel . But that is not a bad thing. Teraflex Leveling kit does not require new shocks to be used.

So the teraflex Leveling kit can be used with stock shocks.

Thanks for the order it is shipping today!

David

I just installed my Teraflex 2"/1" leveling kit on my 09' 2dr Rubicon. Stock front shocks work fine. Went wheeling yesterday with no issues.

Default TF Leveling Kit

I've had mine for about nine months now. Still have stock shocks, no extensions, never had any problems. I'll try to post a pic tomorrow. Mine is an unlimited, so the rake was even more pronounced than that of the 2-doors. Very happy with the look of it.

Gonna order mine today too, front/rear bumpers and a winch made it sag more than I thought.

By the way, the teraflex website states:

You can run a 33-34" tall tire with this kit. If you prefer to run the factory wheels as shown on the red Unlimited, you may need wheel spacers for proper clearance.

I plan on using the stock Rubicon wheels/tires for now. for anyone who has installed this kit, did you need to get wheel spacers? Any input would be appreciated. I'd call, but I'm in Iraq for another month or so and phones don't work worth a jack out here.

I am running stock 32" with the stock 17" wheels no rubbing issues.

I've posted this pic a few times, I hope I'm not guilty of being too proud of my jeep...

I installed my TF leveling kit this last week...

I noticed that I now have more upward wheel travel..2" up front and 1 inch in the rear...

I thought about longer shocks as well..(to gain downward travel)..But came to the conclusion that I would need brake lines..Then I thought I might loose my upward travel with a longer shock as it might bottom out before the axel hit the bump stop..Then If I added bump stops I'd be back where I started..With the same stock travel..
I decided to keep the gained upward travel..

nothing wrong with loving your JK, we all do

And, I might be wrong, but when the rear axle runs its cycle, the sway linkc can rub the wheels.. some people run the links on the inside to correct this.. but that puts them close to the brake lines. just keep an eye on it and see how it goes.
P.S.- I WISH Teraflex had this kit back when I started modding my JK, I would have bought it in a heartbeat.. would have saved my undercarriage from a lot of the scrapes that are down there now
