Shocks
question, I have a stock 2008 Sahara I just picked up. Unfortunately, do to "spousal constraints", I am very limited to customization until sometime after intial purchase. Although the stance is ok as is, I would like to get the body off the tires a little more. Short of a full on lift which I cannot sell at this point, will shocks give a lift unitl a full lift can do at a later date? I have heard some shocks can boost anywhere from 1-3"....true?

NEW!! TeraFlex JK Leveling Kit!! $129.99
I'd go with a 2-2.5" coil lift, around 150.00 plus install anything more than 2.5" and you have to start screwing around with brake lines and suspension stuff. Be careful though once you start adding stuff it's hard to stop.
Why not just throw on a budget boost spacer kit or an even less expensive leveling kit?

NEW!! TeraFlex JK Leveling Kit!! $129.99
Product Description
This leveling kit adds 2" to the front and 1" to the rear effectively leveling the 2 or 4 door's factory rake stance. The kit comes with front sway bar links.
You can run a 33-34" tall tire with this kit. If you prefer to run the factory wheels, you may need wheel spacers for proper clearance.
A simple but effective leveling kit that adds height enough to use up to 305/65 R18 or 305/70 R17
Fits 2007+ newer Wrangler and Unlimited models.
Sounds like you need some "spousal constraints".
Shocks will not add any lift, that's an old myth.
If you're okay with the stance, just go with a 1" or 1 1/4" body lift. They're cheap and easy to install.
