Can a moderately mechanically inclined and a not so mechanically inclined install Shrockworks rails without too much difficulty?

i'd suggest doing it w/ someone else. An extra hand will sure make your life easier.

Yes, but not having that available (doing the mod on a workday for most folks, but I'm retired), I used the box that the rails were shipped in to hold up one end while measuring, drilling, etc at the other. It worked out fine, by myself. But, do be careful about what size holes you drill where. I got mixed up and drilled the wrong size hole for one bolt. Shrockworks came through with an extra stick/strap nut to take care of my mistake--no extra charge. BTW: Frame is tough to drill through--and I was using cobalt bits!

X2 on that. Also pick up the unibit as well. It'll cut your cursing in half. I have a long arm floor jack and that really made holding it up much easier.

It can be done. We install them all the time just take it slow.
