Default Side Steps

I bought these MOPAR side steps from Quadratec, but am having a problem trying to install them. They won't work if you have the Rubicon Rock Rails on. They are supposed to mount right wear the Rock Rails mount to the frame. Has anyone had the same problem? Is there a work around? What step works with the Rock Rails?

Most steps will not work witht he rock rails as the rock rails are designed to protect the body from rock, but it's assumed if you put steps on that they will tak eht ebrunt of it and probably get destroyed in the process. I picked up a set of Olympic Reversa Bars, which act as rock rails in the up position and as steps in the down. They work great as both.

Here it is in the down.

And the up (I'm in the front left, sorry this was the best I had loaded in My.Project-JK)

I have the Rugged Ridge RRC Side Armor Guards - good protection, work great as a step, and can be attached together with Rubicon rails.

Since you already have the RUBI Rock Rails you may consider this

The Mopar Steps you are looking at make great steps but terrible Rock Rails. I have seen photos were they look like they exploded after hard contact

That's why I ordered the Teraflex Rock Sliders - good as a step too! (I hope)
