yeah, i'd have to agree with what's been said so far. you'll be surprised at how much noise can be reduced simply by reinstalling your drain plugs. of course, re-installing your carpeting will make a world of difference and if you were to double that up with dynamat, that would be even better.

Dynamat is a good call and best of all it doesn't need to be installed near the source to deaden unwanted sound and road noise.

I also left something out. I got the 18" length body muffler 4" in diameter. The diameter really does very little to cut the noise down. Lots of people get the 6" diameter thinking that will help with noise, when it will not. I wanted as much air flow room around the muffler as possible, so I got the 4" diameter. The muffler body length however, has everything to do with how much noise is produced. The longer the body, the quieter the muffler. I like the Magnaflow straight through stainless mufflers. They are essentially a stainless glass pack.....but they are not, because the interior mesh material is not fiberglass. It's mesh stainless steel. That's why I like them. They are ALL stainless and will pretty much last forever. Being that yours is a two door, I would make sure that it is as far back as possible.

Default muffler

hey let me tell u what i did, i also installed a magnaflow cylinder looking bullet straight through muffler placed right next to the evap canister and i didnt like the way it sounded, so i went to another muffler shop and they suggested i add a flowtech raptor muffler and put it where the stock muffler was before, so i went ahead and left the magnaflow and added the flowtech raptor and wow now it sounds awesome, it has a nice deep low rumble to it, i really like it a lot, the guy at the muffler shop said that it was good that it has two mufflers now, that many high end exhaust systems sometimes consist of two mufflers to bring the tone down low, i really recommend adding a flowtech raptor to that same muffler that you already have on.....
