The difference between this and some other bumpers is they have an add on plate that attaches to the crash bar while this one covers it up. I had to shave about 1/4 of metal off the bottom of the verticle bars the crash bar is welded to. So with that off and the bumper being 1/4in thick steel its no lower than stock crash bar is.
