Default Skids

Rugged Ridge sway bar disconnect skid was my first priority on my '10 Rubicon. Evaporative canister relocation vs. skid shall be my next project, then oil pan skid.

that evap canister can just be relocated, screw paying a bill for a skid when moving it costs a few dollars.
I agree, engine and oil pan are a priority. Some pictures of dings and scratches on my River Raider skids show they are doing their job. Looks like it saved my oil pan on one trip. I did replace my factory front bumper and plastic air dam first with a Shrockworks mid-width bumper with 3/16" steel "chin guard" to protect the e-disco motor on my Rubicon. I saw too many factory bumpers trashed.

Don't know why the evap skid is on the top of the list? I would prioritize that as #3 or 4. You can get home if you knock off the evap but punch a hole in your oil pan and you won't get too far.

Going to do a evap skid, probably a rancho oil pan skid, but my factory gas tank skid looks like its been in a major crash. Has anybody had problems with this being as how the gas tank is plastic. I'm slightly worried about it, rubbing a hole in tank maybe?

I have tested an abused all of my stock skid plates. They work great. The only failure in their system is the evap canister is still exposed. So my first added skid plate was my evap skid. It has worked great. Last week it got quite a work out when, I suspect, I was being winched and it got damaged, but the evap canister is 100% ok. Without that skid I would have been over 100 miles from home with a big problem.
