lol. maybe it's how they rated those trails. i was on a 3 (of 5). very narrow ravine with BIG rocks. once we got down in there, the only way out was forward. what you dont see in this pic is the big drop in front of me and the rocks sticking up to gut puch my jk. Thank God for my skidrow eng/trans skidplate. only scratches in the powdercoat

the first climb of the day was a 2 and only 1 person made it up without a winch.... he was in rubicon with 37s and took several tries to get up it. and it wasnt us, trust me. that was a Biznatch of a climb . the dirt was sooooo loose. (btw this is not the rig that made it up)

naw.... then it'd be a 4 or 5 and we'd never have tried it. we all learned a great deal about patience and picking the right line that day. next time i hit the trail i'll have a evap skid, teraflex sliders, and an ARB locker and looking to payback some of those rocks

Just so I can steer this thread back on course. I was initially going to buy the entire RockHard package, so that would be much the same if I got the Treks setup. Right now I'm kinda leaning towards the Trek system, it looks like it covers more (even if that extra is empty space) and is more tapered. More opinions? I also plan on doing the EVO control arm skids and stiffners. Anything I can to preventive wise is a huge priority. I'd rather cover it before I have to replace it. I won't get the Skidrow gear. They don't have a total package and I intend on buying the whole set at once.

I am a HUGE fallout fan. 1, 2, and tactics. I think the series is part of the reason I left university and became a welder. Maybe pulled 3-4 hours of sleep a day for 8 months because of those games and school!!!

I'm also still torn between the sliders. I like how the RH4x4 sliders are a step, come out further, and flush up with the fenders. But I like how the Treks are isolated away from the body. Horror or success stories of either style? Should I go with a different style like the PJ or Shrock? Also, the Treks have what appear to be cutouts on them, if so would I be fishing mud out of these all the time. Any sponsors / moderators feel free to chime in and set me straight.

Not to derail the thread but I'll assume you've been watching the Fallout 3 info? Can't wait for October. It looks amazing!

I'm running Schrockworks sliders and have only good things to say about them. Worth the money to me!

thanks for steering the thread back on course

btw i vote treks. i got the rock hard on order and the skid row front. but if i were going with a single system, i'd do treks over rockhard. i like to looks of it and the boatsides make it interesting. be sure to post plenty-o-pics

I like the looks of the treks w/ the boatside sliders. That thing looks like a tank underneath! But rock hard seems a little more practical and I like how they do keep the bolt heads from getting caught up
