Default Question

Do you need wheel spacers with this lift if you are running stock wheels (18" Saharas)?

Does anyone know if there is a write-up on this lift anywhere on the forum? Mine was used and didn't come with directions. I have heard it is very easy though. Any help is appreciated.

i dont know of a write up here on the forum, but i will say this... check your bushings!
apparently skyjacker had some "bad polyurethane" which was causing the bushings to wear ridiculously fast. i went through 3 sets (thats a lot of wrenching) before i got a "good set" the bushings need to be a dark red color... not a bright red/almost pink color.

im pretty sure if you go to the skyjacker website you can DL a copy of the install instructions

BTW... i am pleased with my 2" BB. gives it the height i was looking for, rides nice. needed to be realigned after the install, but i was able to do it myself.

good luck. PM me if you have any more ????

You shouldn't need spacers unless you are putting on bigger tires.
As for a write up, just use WOL's Teraflex BB writeup. That's what I did for my Rubicon Express BB. The budget boosts are all basically the same, just shocks, bumpstop extensions and rubber pucks. There might be a step or two that you will or won't do, but it's easy to figure out once you start.
BTW, I went with the RE BB to get rid of some of my rake.

Update

I ended up ordering the RC 2.5 BB. It has the shock extensions that many of the other kits don't have and it is priced a bit cheaper. I also ordered their quick discos. The stuff should be here on monday. The jeep is currently at the dealer though because the hood is bent because of the piss poor design of the damn hood latches aloowing for hood lift at highway speeds. I am looking forward to getting it back and getting the parts on.
