Default Skyjacker 5'' lift

Does anyone have any experience with the Skyjacker 5" standard lift kit? This is the lift im looking to get, and i just wanted to see if anyone had anything bad to say about it. Anything else i will need that the kit doesnt include?
Thanks in advance!

I have the SkyJacker 5" value flex kit on my 2 door. I don't think the standard kit comes with swaybar disconnects or new control arms, does it? If not, don't buy it! You will just have to add them later! If you have a 2 door, you will have rear drive shaft problems too. This lift puts the rear shaft at a bad angle. You will also need adjustable rear upper control arms. I know all of this because I just finished installing it all on mine. I have had the lift for 10,000 miles. My drive shaft was shot, so I replaced it with a Tatton rear. Once I did that, it vibrated like hell from the extreme angle the lift puts it in. So, I spent a little more money and ordered the SkyJacker adjustable rear upper control arms. Problem solved.

I just pulled a skyjacker 4 inch kit off my 4 door (replaced with a teraflex). The arms are all very close to the same length as the stockers, and are not adjustable. I have it for sale if interested. I think it is complete (at least the major parts including shocks).

I don't have any experience myself with this kit, but I have seen 4 jeeps in a local shop all with skyjacker lifts and all broken rear shafts. the five inch lift, or a too tall 4"lift would put a lot of stress in the rear shaft (the angle is too extreme) as for the arms, if they are not adjustable and pretty much the same length as the stock ones there is no reason to spend money on those.

do a search and you will find that there are a lot of people who've "had" this lift or the 3"-4" version of it and they have all suffered breaks to their rear track bar brackets even with the additional brace. likewise, all of them have suffered joints that went bad very quickly. i personally know at least 4 people who have had these problems and at least 2 of them now run other kits.

Don't forget that skyjacker has the softest springs on the market as well

The Skyjacker arms are very light, have cheap bushings, are the same lenght as the stock ones, and are non adjustable. No camparison to the high quality, heavy duty, adjustable Teraflex arms. The springs and shocks were Ok though. I don't think it would be a problem for the majority of people, but I want to have a little more fun than some. Did that make sense?
