Default Slider decision.. Rockhard or VKS?

Torn between the two. Pricing on both are similar, Vks comes bare metal so would need to powdercoat. What would you choose?

Vks

VKS, frame welded vs rock hard, body mount bolted.

Vks is a lot more common on another forum.

Those were two that were in my top choices but I ended up going with LoD sliders and happy as a clam. I like that they come powder coated and the powder coating has held up very well.

Between those two, VKS all the way. Welded on vs. bolt on makes a difference. When I'm ready, my set will be custom built weld-ons. Just gotta' drop it off and hand over $600.

I went the VKS route. I almost hated to powder coat over them beautiful welds!

I like the new VKS Prerunner sliders. Frame mounted, but bolts so you don't have to weld. Just as solid as welding. I weld everything on my Jeep, except my sliders. I've had to remove them for various reasons a good 5 times now. I'd hate to have to cut them off every time.

Although, I am a fan of the LoD as well. The Prerunners are pretty much a copy of those. As noted above, the LoD come powder coated. I've beat the absolute shit out of them and they show no signs of failure.

Our sliders are not only a great value when it comes to quality and price, but if you factor in labor time and cost to install, ours can be installed with simple hand tools in anyone's garage since they do not require welding. How tough are our sliders? Being body mounted may scare some, but when you realize you can lift your Jeep from our sliders, they prove to be invaluable for not only trail duty, but recovery duty.

Also don't forget that our sliders mount not just to the pinch seam but your body mounts. Because they cover the pinch seam, you don't need to buy extra body armor to cover the unsightly seam.
