Sline count
I am getting ready to by a set of gears and a locker for my JK Sport. Going to buy an Auburn Ected locker for rear/ 4:88 gears for front and rear. Which ones do I select? spline count?

what he said. of course, since you are installing new lockers, you may or may not want to consider installing a beefier set of axles - say, 35 spline
I want to beef up the front axle to handle the 35's. So I figured do the C gusset up grade with the tubes and 4:88 's for gearing.
For rear add 4:88 and an Auburn Etec locker.

Not sure how much research you have done, but thought this may interest you
And the full thread, if you decide to do a little more 'looking'...

Additionally, over time, the clutches will wear and lock up will be even less effective. If that wasn't bad enough, the internal side gear design has very little axle spline engagement in the LSD mode and axle shafts have been getting the splines stripped. Auburn is working on a new Ected model that is said to address these issues.

If the clutches wear (which make it slip easier) it can't be rebuilt, only replaced. Auburn has a 4 year warranty where you pay a fee for replacement but after 4 years you're on your own. Do you want to buy a new unit when your clutches wear? Clutch driven LSDs are a bad idea on an off road rig as any free spin of a tire accelerates clutch wear.
Another issue is their side gear design. In the unlocked mode (now LSD) only one side gear is using the full spline engagement. The other side has a 2 piece side gear that, unlocked, only uses about 9/16" of axle spline engagement. They have been having issues with stripping splines off of the axle.

Another question you'll have to answer is gear ratios for the carriers. Despite your 4.88 rear gears, you'll need a 3.73 down rear carrier, NOT a 3.92 up. The front will be a standard 3.73 up 27 spline Dana 30 carrier.
As for the Ected..
