Default Smitty Bilt XRC

I hope this is the right spot but I need some help. I have the XRC and love the bumper, had it about a year. The other day my handle assembly screw came loose and I lost the handle bolt and washer. I went back and found the handle and bought a new washer and bolt. The problem I am having now is the handle will not stay latched, it works itself loose even on short trips. I need help fast I am leaving for a trip in about a week and don't want to have to tie it down. I would also like to avoid buying a new handle assembly, if at all possible they are not cheap.

Its the xrc and tire carrier.
