Default smittybilt

I'd like to send a big punch in the face to the guys who designed the Smittybilt SRC front bumper.

This morning I decided to swap the winch off of my YJ to my JK for a trip this weekend. Unfortunately the rear winch mount bolts are not accessible without drilling some access holes. Looks like the bumper has to come off again.

I should have ponied up for the ARB.

that sucks - is ther any chance that you can get to the bolts with a hand wrench from behind?

I kinda like that about the bumper, being in New Orleans people will steal anything that is available.. Making something less accesible is great imo..

Update: got 'er done this evening.

I ended up pulling the bumper, and bolting the winch to it, then installing the bumper with the winch still attached. That is one heavy combo to heave back onto the frame rails.

BTW, anyone else running a Warn XD9000i ? I had to trim the right hand front bumper bracket (the factory piece attached to the frame rail) to get the winch in, otherwise it interfered. It was also extremely tight on that side trying to get the bumper bolts back in with that winch in the way, but at least it's done now .
