Smittybilt Fender
I've been very dissappointed in the quality of all of the Smittybuilt stuff I've bought over the last 3 years. The used to sell some pretty good stuff, but lately I bought a softtop that went back for a refund (it didn't fit right, and leaked thru all the seams) and a bumper that I bent trying to install, and ended up cutting and reinforcing.
I understand the fact that the Smittybuilt version maybe a copycay of the twisted tin fenders, but who sells the Twisted tins? Unfortunatly half the fenders that are out there are way to expensive, look like the flying nun, have Gator Hyde protection sprayed on them, or don't follow the bodylines very well.
Work a deal with Twisted tin to sell those fenders to us here on the Forum and you maybe suprised on the popularity and sales on them.

Your tube fenders are the best looking and are made for function as well.

thanks for the update, I've been bothering 4wd hardware about these.
I like small fenders, I'd rather have them narrower than my tires. Soon as these come in, I'll be picking up a set....

I'd rather run no fenders at all, and these are closest thing to that..
its Smittybilt, its hard to say.
I have Smittybilt steel fenders on my TJ. The quality is very good. They are heavy duty fenders and we're cheap too.
Since they are now under new ownership. I've been told the quality has increased. We'll find out! I'm hoping they fit the curves of the JK a little nicer in the picture. Thats my concern. I just want something that'll cover the holes left by the plastic fenders..
My fenders are trashed...

I have talked with PUDDLZ and have seen them in person several times now on several rigs, goodwork! The price tag is right for the quality and protection, just not all of us need or desire that much on our rig. Am I wrong but aren't the Twisted tins on your JK that was at the MEET-N-GREET? They are not anything glamourous but do one thing and that's give the JK more of a crawler look. Your JK is my favorite of all the JK's here on the site, it is functional, it's not overdone, it's Greystone, and gets drool on it everytime it is at an event. I will appologize for my drool that has accumulated from past events, and thanks for all you do for our Jeep and sandcar communities.

The fenders are really nice and I am sure the overseas clones will be nice too.
The only draw back is the possibilty of being pulled over By the Police because they are so narrow.l
They do bend really easy every time someone gets in or out of the rear door if you do lean on them( KIDS). For a straight trail rig like the Optima Red Jeep or for a show rig like the Smittybilt white jeep they are perfect.
It is a clean simple look that I would love to see made out of plastic
a good alternative to no fenders

Hopefully, one of our vendors will stock these and offer them for less than that
... if I could get them for around $400 I would buy them
