Smittybilt winch
Apologize if this is already discussed in another thread but here goes. I spent most of last week visiting family and doing lots of off-roading. I found myself in a muddy swamp type terrain near the a creek on the property and need to winch myself out. My first time using my smittybilt 8k winch. Well apparently my winch was labeled wrong from the factory. The free spool and engaged are backwards. The remote works correctly so I know it's wired correctly. Pulled great both times I used it without any issues. What would you do? Am I acting like a pansy wanting my product to be labeled correctly or should I be happy with the fact that it works?

To answer your question, that's up to you if you want to go through the trouble of shipping back, waiting, and re-installing the winch.
Thanks for the advise. I checked with 4wparts here in Charlotte. Apparently there was a batch of winches that went out with this problem. They are sending me a replacement sticker.
