Default Smitybilt Stinger Front Bumper Weight

I'm thinking of purchasing the Smittybilt Stinger front bumper but just wanted to know if anyone knows the exact weight of the bumper. I do plan on running a witch eventually so just wanted to calculate how much added weight will be on the front of my JK.

Been running the Smittybilt stinger for a few weeks now and I love it. Don't know the exact weight but if had to estimate I'd say 70-75lbs. Just basing it on lifting it up for the Install. Was able to lift and mount it alone if you were planning on doing that. Haven't installed the winch yet. Hope that helps.

So my wife asked me this last night and I didn't have an answer for her. Outside of looking awesome, what is the true function of the stinger on the trail?

It causes your jeep to roll right or left in the event where you nose in going downhill. This way you end up on the side of your jeep and not the roof.

Saw one of the vendor rigs at ESJ do full roll. Thanks to the stinger and rollcage, it drove away and finished the trail (and did one the next day).

There was some minor damage to the quarters and the soft top was messed up a bit, but if you weren't told it rolled you would not guess it.

Not one hiccup. Smooth and easy. I had it in in less than and hour. Taking the stock one off was the biggest pain. The plastic screws that are supposed to pop out didnt so I had to Jerry Rig it and pull em out forcefully.

Default hiccup

Mine sure did not go on easy. Like a few other I had to do some grinding on the the jeeps mounts to enlarge the mounting holes as the smittybilt bumpers mounting studs were way off. Don't get me wrong I like this bumper now that it is on just thought you should know how mine went.
