I am no expert at all but I have a feeling that you will be throwing your money away to change springs or shocks. My money would be on putting a bag of sand or something to add weight, lower the tire pressure and work on making a soft place for your pup to lay. IMO

Thanks. Sure dont wanna waste $$ when I can put towards my pups surgery or other Jeep mods later on.

Have you removed the rear seat? That will give you a lot more space. Very easy to do.

Yup. I removed it pretty much as soon as I got the jeep and its been out ever since. Thanks tho
