Snatch blocks and Synthetic line.
New to synthetic line on winches.
Question; Is there a special snatch block just for the synthetic line?
Or will the old style work fine?
Hopefully not going to be doing to much winching but I don't want to damage the line when I do.
Thanks for your help.

Guides & snatch block should be new, or at least never used with steel cable. A cable leaves marks which can damage a synthetic rope.
The side plates of the snatch block should be made so a synthetic line cannot be pinched between the roller and the side plate. The rollers' groove should be smooth and rounded.
Master Pull, for instance, make a snatch block specifically for synthetic, but some others would fit as well.
Master Pull - Link - Master Pull Red Snatch Block 30, 000 lbs for Synthetic Winch Line : Amazon.com : Automotive
To get the design idea:
In the ARB 9000 the rope is protected, while in the 7000 it is not protected enough from pinching or rubbing against the edges of the side plates.

I think you can use any snatch block as long as the pulley has not been scarred from a steel cable. I personally use a Master Pull which is designed for a synthetic line. You can look up their site on the web.
Thanks for the answers.
Master pull with 2 votes.
I looked at the Amazon link and it is a nice looking block. Even has what look like door edge guard along the edge of the plates to really protect the line.

I know about the Master Pull, never used one, and pointed to it as "dedicated" for synthetic.
It's probably good, I just have no personal experience with it.
I have the ARB 9000. It's one of the best snatch blocks available, has a very good reputation around the world and works very well with synthetic.

That's 4 for ARB...
It seems the Aussies know how to make good offroading gear. "In addition" the the ARB snatch, I have an ARB front bumper, and a smart dual battery isolator solenoid by Red Arc -- another very well made Aussie product.
