i love the snorkel, i was on a 2 year wait for it and i love it. granted when got it it did not come with sturdy air box clamps but the new kits have them i just got in touch with rugged ridge and they hooked me up and got some. well this snorkel is easy to install, sturdy and easy to maintain not to mention you can also drain it. the down side to it if you have windshield lights you'll have to loose one for the high mount but it will work with the low mount but i believe quadratec has side windshield light mounts and i think that would work. i have used this snorkel on water crossings over the hood and im pretty confident that the snorkel caused no damaged and did its job. and best of all its a reasonable price too. just remember to extend all your breathers for your axels, transfer case transmission as well well good luck hope i helped you. and it also helps there on this forum and are very eager to please their customers

I have had mine on about a year and love it. I don't use the high mount as I figure if I am as deep as the low mount would suck water it is too late already.

It takes a day to install as you have to wait for stuff to dry as you paint or seal pieces. Very easy to install, just take your time.

I have been in water over my aux lights mounted on the front bumper hoop, a little over the hood and it did it's job, got video to prove it....

I like the low mount as it doesn't block anything and I don't see that stupid tube along the windshield.

My wife didn't notice it was on till I told her it was there.

the high mount is to get the intake out of dust plumes as well, not just deep water.....

Yup I agree with all these guys it rocks. I've had it for over a year with no issues. I've taken it over the hood multiple times. Like they said A pillar lights are out of the question. However rugged ridge makes lights for the hood latches which work as a great alternative.

I was on the pre-order list for this product. RR has made a couple of improvements since I got mine but with a quick email they sent me out the upgrades.

Install does take awhile...there are (123) steps

A-pillar lights are not completely out of the question.....

agreed. Here in co, primary function for snorkel, dust. Not to mention, if you are in a descent clip of speed in sand, the raised snorkel does help.
