Question Snorkel Owners Performance Updates...?

OK snorkel owners...

I've been searching... so now i am asking.
DO the snorkels have any impact on performance? (good or bad)

i have looked for the "cold air" advantage of fresh air vs under hood air.

so, does the extra air tubing length cause the losses of power people thougth they might?

looking for an update on actual performance to date.

also any input on "pre filters" (for desert users) or any helpful updates.

Thanks for your time.

Main difference is that the snorkel wil breath cooler air, which will improve the oxygen levels in your fuel/air mixture..therefore better performance, since cooler air holds more oxygen......its also "apparently" cleaner air...

no... tube length doesnt make a difference...

so yeah, everything else being equal you should get better performance and even a slight gain in MPG...

so... how does the water get out of the intake tube?

i KNOW that when you hit the water, it throws a huge wave/splash that lands on the roof... (?) and inducted rain...? (bugs, small children...)

i am looking for "hydrolock" protection as well...

anyone look into the prefilter/water barrier gadgets?
