I got to say I agree. I've seen other brands that look better but even though I could use one during rainy season here there's no way I'd slap one of those homemade looking things on my JK.

instead of personal things i think they work great especially if you have to cross river crossings or really dusty trails. Looks wont get you far i heard that few times.
may be in states or your areas its different conditions but over here in oz we have lots of red sandy deserts and high river crossings and big mud bog holes and definately we dont want to screw our engines by not having a full protection by the way have you looked at the new arb part # SS1060HF for new JK in steel or plactic

Excellent questions Ruskin and HatchetMan.

Here's a couple more:
Other than the fact they look absolutely cool is there really an advantage for a regular Joe kind of four wheeler to have one?
The picture on the site looks like a hose, two hose clamps and the snorkel. How would it work with a cold air add on?
The one I saw was bare metal looking (Shiney). To me it looked like it was sheetmetal and bolted to the jeep. Meaning it looked like a Prototype and not really "finishes". I think a hard plastic one would look better in my opinion, but I don't think they offer that. I am sure there are some that like this look (they did thats why they make it).

Hope that answers your question.

Anyone got a pic of one on the JK yet? From a show or otherwise? I am kinda iffy on thise particular brand based on their pictures from their website. I also still have my reservations in regards to actual use and the effects of deep water on your electronics. I won't even touch the subject about using the clutch while fording either...
