X2 feel free to come test drive mine. Very tolerable for me.

I have a buddy with the exact same setup (JKU, 3.21s, 35s), and he hates it. Could you live with it? Sure, but you won't enjoy it at all.

Kevin- I am in the South Hills which is nothing but hills. If I regear then I might as well add lockers, but I got a quote from Meridian... Do you have a 3 inch or a BB?

3700.00. Wtf? I might throw some 285/75/17s on there for now and regear later.

I'm running the same setup. 35" bf Goodrich mud terrain on a six speed with stock 3.21 gears. It's ok for now just expect to shift a lot and never use sixth unless you're on the highway and even then you'll probably have to grab 5th on hills. It'll do just fine just expect about 14-16 mpg and know that you'll have to regear. I'm saving up for 4.56 or 4.88 gears now but until then I drive mine everyday and it runs just fine.

35s on 3:21s on my manual 2door. Been that way for a year and a half. You lose 6th gear and have to downshift to 4th on anything but flat pavement.

Run it til you can save a few thousand away and get gears and lockers. And most likely a clutch depending on how long you keep the 3:21s.

Just have to add, I don't regret getting my 35s while still having 3:21s. I'm very glad I didn't wait til I had the money to regear. Even with my BB, I can keep up with my buddy's tj on a 6in lift.

i have a 2 door 12' on 33s with a 3.21 6 speed and i even feel like i want to re gear i have never drove a 3.8 with 3.21 gears but my 3.6 dosnt seem to like it. i never drive over 70-75 still feel like a barley want to put it in 6th and the dash says i always average about 14.9mpg. i mostly drive in the city and there is no such thing as a hill or a rock in new orleans.... i still feel like i have plenty of get up and go around town just feels like i have noting on the highway and thought i would be getting a little better mpg

35's make 5th gear just fine on highway. 75 mpg yields 2400-2600 rpm. Yeah 6th is no good unless its downhill. I'll eventually regear but no time soon.

Also with 35's I average between 14.5-16 depending how fast I wanna drive. Tire weight also has a lot to do with both issues

Whats the lowest gear you can put on a 12' sport???? I would think at some point you would have to get rid of your carrier and get a new center section, locker or something. Im kind of thinking about 4.56 even know i only have 33s because the plan is to eventually move up to 35s and i feel like i should build for where im going not were im at, has anyone run a 3.6 4.56 6 speed on 33s yet??? Even if its a super short 1st where i can start in 2nd if i want and if 6th gets me 70ish with decent mpg that may be mine route.

you need a new front carrier as the 3.73 on up have a different carrier then 3.21.

I have been reading about people with 3.21 gears wanting to get 35s , This is my story. I got a used 2011 2 door sport "S" 6 speed soft top with 5000 miles the paper work said 3.21 gears. I thought about going with 33s instead of 35s, (I have 32s now so whats another inch) I made up my mind I would not be happy with 33s so i ordered 35s FIERCE TIRES ATTITUDE M/T 35-1250 R17LT. During the 2 months it took me to make up my mind on what tires to get i kept my eye on my RPMs I would go down the road in 6th at about 1600 RPMs. My tires should up, after getting them mounted I was driving home and watching my RPMs, no differents
My jeep seems to have no loss of power or anything. Iam wondering if I really have 3.21 gears. When I had my stock tires on I was getting about 19.5 mpg acording to the computer, now that i put on 35s it says 18.5 miles after driving 100 miles. I know the computer is not accurate but I used it for both.

Quick Reply: So I want 35s and I have 3.21 Gears.
