Soft 8 Balance Problem ??
just did my first rotation. 5 tire. I have a bad wobble at 38-45mph
Had the tire and wheel looked at. Tire OK wheel out of round. The wheel in question was my spare that I rotated to the front
I have a new wheel on back order from the place I got it from

Have had almost a dozen balances five of which were hunter road-forced and finally I ask the guy to check the rims and he says they are not true. This was at crappy tire(only place w/ hunter) I had complained since day one to N4wd and had their tech come with me for a test drive and tell me it drives like every other jeep he's driven(cough-cough-bullshit)Then they sell me a massive steering stabilizer which masked it abit. oops I forgot something inside go back in to hear laughter and he shouts out ha we should be selling S.S's to all these wobbly wheeled f@#$ers. Took it back 1 hour later and suggested procomp should warranty and replace the rims. And asked if they even checked the rims they sold to me when there are so many that are defective. I've come to the conclusion that they are garbage. But I do see a place for them in rock crawling just not good for daily drivers that use hwy on regular basis. Now I'm waiting for bridgers

One thing that MIGHT be important. Cragar makes soft 8s, and Pro Comp makes soft 8s. I THINK the Cragars and Unique are made by the same manufacturer. But Pro Comp brags that they have more welds than the "other guys". MINE are Cragars and I have no problem with them (so far). Could it be the "extra welds" that the Pro Comps have cause them to warp a bit? Just sayin.

Got them to fix the problem. Worked for a bit but we had snow and ice build up on our roads most of the winter this year. I think the worst ones just ended up on the back, once rotated them the problem came back with a vengeance
Well, just got my JK rebalanced/rotated. Tech said that one of my front wheels was out of round, but was able to get it balanced and moved it to the rear axel. Now, I don't notice any wobble accelerating to/past 50mph, but when off the gas coasting down to 50 there is slight/noticble wobble...
I think next rotation I'm going to move the 'out of round' tire to the spare and keep to rotating the 4 'good' ones.

I know this is an old post but thought I would explain what was probably happening to your cragar soft 8's...they can NOT be balanced by using the center hole it will not work.
When mounted to a balancer they have to be be mounted using the lug nut holes...some shops can not do this.
