Default Soft doors

Has anyone else had this problem?

So I get the Supertop two piece doors by Bestop from 4WD.com the other day.
I was anxious to see them on muh Jeep and well would ya know it. after spending about $500.00 on the top pins that go into the lower part doesn't even line up. My Buddy who is currently taking care of muh baby while I am over seas was kind of surprised at how bad they didn't even line up. Now I do know there is some molding that you have to do so it will make a good seal around the doors jams and what not but the pins not lining up to put both haves to gether?

I sent 4wd an email inquiring with pictures and haven't heard back from them yet. as for the pictures I can get some posted soon but it will be the gif pics you have to click on.

Yeah I know that but it is the three pins that are welded to the top piece and are supposed to slide into the three lower recieving holes to hold the top half. then secured with velcro. and then the passenger side window is all buggered up from the packing

usually you need to bend and adjust the steel pins to get everything to line up right,

atleast thats how they have always been on TJ's and YJ's.

I'd send the doors back, just to get a set of good windows... But some heat might straighten them out.

I had order some doors for my jeep a while back, but I canceled the order because I read to much about this situation. it sounds like its pretty common, other people say you just have to play with them to get them to fit right.

Sorry about your problem. I bought mine used and love them 100%. Nothing beats dropping all four into the back and cruzin' on home. Stupid winter. I hope they fix it for you.

I had the same issue with mine. I just ground down the side of the offending pin untill it lined up. I could have sent them back, but I wanted to use them for a trip that weekend and the fix wasn't that hard.

I love them for around town and trail use, but anything over 60mph and they are pretty noisy. But hey, they are soft doors so I deal with it.

in the pictures you can see how they are misaligned and I don't think I wanna grind any metal off because they are way out of alignment. My frined in the states said I could take and cut the mount pins off and reweld them to work but the window is beyond a little heat to fix the problem. So far nothing back from them and I sent the email wednesday morning east coast time and now it is Saturday Hmmm what happened to the 12 business hour reply?????????????????????????? Well BESTOP I'm listening...........

I'd tell you to call them up, but not sure you can. They have very good customer support. You're not going to find soft doors that have perfect fitment.,

but they should fit for sure.

I understand the fact that with them being soft doors they won't fit perfectly untill they are shaped to the vehicle. they only thing I want is ( windows with no defects and the tops to fit in the lowers better) It surprises me that they way they are built and mass produced it almost seems like they don't use a jig for the alignment of the pins and recievers when building the frame for the door. I have had past expierence with soft doors as I am a military contractor and all the older military Humvees had Soft doors. I know what to expect from them. Personally thier packaging process could be a little better and I wouldn't mind paying a few extra dollars to have the clear plastic protected from being marred or scratched during shipping... But even with a close to $500.00 price tag I would expect a little better shipping practices????? wouldn't you?... But I am also in Iraq so I only have pictures to go off of and really it doesn't cost that much for the materials used nor even the labor cost to produce it. I decided to get the doors because I wanted them and it was a spur of the moment of bordem and saw them on the site. Thats awesome they have great customer service for some people however they (4WD.com) have exceeded their quota of 12 buisness hours stated on there web site to get back to me..... Now with that said regardless of the fact of my location I am a little perterbed with the CS they provide.

I still want the doors I just want the haves to fit better and I want no marks on the windows unless I put them there...
