Soft Top Insulation for Winter?
Looks like im going to be without a hard top this winter, does anyone know of anything on the market to insulate a soft top to make it warmer in the winter?
run my soft top in the winter here in boston, and its really not bad with the heater on. I haven't heard of anyone out with any kind of insulation for the soft top.
Not sure how much colder it is up there but we had several 0 degree F nights up here and the stock heater/soft top kept me plenty toasty. I'd say unless you see 30 below you will be fine. That or if you are really easily chilled.
Not sure if you meant just opening the door or opening the door and removing the window. If the windows are frozen, don't lift them at all. They will probably crack from the cold.
That's what worries me. I normally open the tailgate and partially unIp and lift the back window to keep my larger dog from hitting the bar. If not, his back tends to hit the bat when he jumps in. Will this cause damage to the window when it's cold (low 30s would be cold here)?

Coldest my jeep has seen was -7. And she was outside for 6 hours. And windows were hard, but not frozen. It was just the plastic hardening up. You'll be fine with back window.
If it like rains and melts on window and then it freezes, it shouldn't crack or rip the windows. You should be more worried about paint at that point.
My 07 JK soft top has seen it all.
100 plus degrees in the summer all the way down to single digits and negative temps in the winter. The heater in these rigs is no joke.
Below zero temps here in AK. I've never had a hard top. The heater gets ridiculously hot and keeps my cab toasty- I sometimes roll down the window and take my jacket off. My family doesn't seem to understand. "you're driving your ice box again?" don't waste money on insulation. You won't need it. But if you feel you must- wool blankets draped between the roll bars and front.
