The heater in mine is a scorcher. You can't hold your hand in front of the vent for 5 seconds on HI. Hottest heater I've ever seen. I don't run it on HI, for fear of melting something in the dash. I think you'd be ok for any temps seen in the continental US.

I'm running just a soft top up here in Maine and we see some pretty nasty winters, snow, rain, ice, below zero temps etc... I have no problems staying warm with the soft top. The heater in the JK cranks serious heat. There was a pic a while back of a forum member pointing an infrared thermometer at his heater vent on high and the temp was reading over 200 degrees farenheit. You will be fine with a soft top. Like everyone has said, just be careful with the plastic windows.

Agreed. Obviously just dont use a scraper on your windows and you will be fine. I personally just hit the window a few times with my glove and all is well.

Man, I hate it when you bastids with your northern winters me feel so girly!

Ok so maybe "low 30s" isn't too extreme...guess I'll suffer through with no problems. Many thanks for the replies.

I have a spiderwebshade. If it gets too cold I was thinking about throwing one of my black quilted movers blankets between it and the soft top. I would think that would help insulate it a little bit.

I ran no carpet and I never had any problems. The heaters are hotter than hell. When in drops below -35 it starts getting a bit cold. But I still think it's fine

I ran my soft top all winter(I'm in Washington state so no where near -35) but the heaters are extremely hot so I don't think you'll have any problems.
