Default Soft top rear window

So...when it comes to everyday tasks, the soft top rear window is a pain. The 10 inch opening that you get when you open the gate its enough to slide the gym bag through but putting groceries in sucks. Anyone have a mod the open the window easier or is there a product out there that makes opening the rear window an easier task?

Grab some paracord and make some zipper pulls. Best way to start to learn paracord knots, looks good, cheap, and makes opening the windows much easier

The way I do it is zip both sides up to the top then undo the two small retainer strips then flip the tailgate price and the window all in one on the roof of the soft top. Easy enough for me and only takes a few seconds. Definitely not as easy as the hard top though.

I know this sounds crazy, but I use binder clips to hold the window up. Long story and it might look kind funky, but i love it. Will post some pics and details tomorrow.

x2. I'm embarrassed to say it took me until I read this trick here before I realized this was the way to access the cargo area with the soft top on. Yup, flip that window up on top of the roof. Easy peasy.

I do this as well, and have been for several Jeeps over many years. I still remember when we went on our honeymoon in Hawaii, we rented a TJ for our stay. I went out side, and promptly flipped the back window up on the roof like this. Totally flabbergasted the porter, he had been trying to squeeze people's bags under the bar for years, and was excited to try it that way next time.

I also had them try to handle an instruction sheet for the soft top, which I promptly told them they could keep for the next customer as this wasn't my first rodeo.

I have an old top that I didn't mind getting stained. I used PB Blaster dry lube. It sprays on wet and is dry when it, well, dries. I applied it in the spring and it is still working smoothly. The high pressure made it splatter on my black top, but now you can't tell. I would strongly advise trying to avoid the splatter if you care about the appearance of your top.
