Default Someone please help convince me...

So, about to pull the trigger on my lift/wheels/tires.

I'm leaning heavily toward the RK 2.5 stock mod with Bilstein 5100s. I'm perfectly content with running 15" wheels and 35" tires. But, what if I want to run 37"s in the future? Then, I'd need 17" wheels (at least). So, here's the quandary that I'm facing. For the same money (roughly), I can get the RK 2.5 stock mod, shocks, 15" wheels and 35" tires (and all the misc related stuff). Or, I can get the 2.5 Flex, 17" wheels, Treadwright Guard Dogs and all the related stuff. This would enable me to run 37's in the future should I decide to do so.

So, what would you do and why?

My only reservation to running the guard dogs is that they don't come in a 37 (at least not yet), so I'd be limiting myself to buying brand name tires in the future if I decide to go to 37s. Oh, and the 315s I hear are a little skinnier than the "standard" 35x12.50s. Does anyone have side by side pics to verify?

Thanks,
Kevin

Get the Rock Krawler lift with the control arms. If you want to upgrade to 37 tires later it will be money well spend now, even for the 35's. Do it once and do it right.

15" wheels significantly limits your tire options and generally increases tire cost. Just my 2 cents I would go with the 17's if you wheel enough to need 15/35's you WILL upgrade to 37's eventually.

I agree with options part. But the price you are a little off. I checked around and tires for 15in wheels no matter the size is cheaper, then tires for 17in wheels. I can get 35 for a 15in wheel for the price of 33's for 17in wheels

you have it backwards, tires for 15" wheels are significantly cheaper. and there are a ton of tire options out there for 15" wheels. i ran 37" super swampers on 15" wheels and had no problems.
