Default Something Loose in the Front End

I just installed a 2.5" Rough Country Coil lift and a 1" PA body lift over the weekend. I also mounted a set of 35x12.5x17 mud terrains on a set of cragar soft 8's. I have driven it all week with no problems, but today it started making some a noise. It sounds like something is loose. When I have the wheel turned and I hit a bump something bangs around in the front end. I am thinking one of the shocks must have worked itself loose and I am going to go through and double check all the bolts to make sure everything is tight. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Do you feel it in the steering wheel? Could be a loose shock, check those top mounts. I got more of a pronounced clunk in my steering after my bodylift. It was the splines in the intermiate shaft. It sounded like a loose shock when turning.

check the bushings on your shocks. i have seen a few RC shocks have issues with them splitting. also, check your sway bar links as they might have come loose at the sway bar itself.

Thanks for the suggestions! I will definately take a look at the sway bar. I honestly can't remember if I could feel anything through the steering wheel or not. I'll pay attention on the drive home and see if I notice anything. If it is the steering is there anything I can do to correct it? Hopefully the bushings on the shocks didn't split, they were a huge pain in the ass to get in there in the first place.

If it is the intermidiate shaft, some people have had luck with greasing the splines, I ended up putting in a new shaft, grease didn't work too long. Check the stuff WOL said first and then it's the process of elimination.

I would also check the trackbar bolts, my lower (axle side) bolt worked loose on me twice, a little blue locktite and no more issues.

Well, i was playing around with it on my lunch and I think i found it. The front drivers side body mount bolt had worked itself loose. I'll use some more thread locker and tighten it down when I get home tonight. Hopefully that take care of it. Thanks for the suggestions!! I'll probably go around and double check everything anyway. Better safe than sorry.

Yeah, no kidding. I have a really bad habit of assuming the worst. I kept thinking I was going to get halfway home and have a shock fall off or something will brake and then have a bigger problem to fix.
