Default Spacer thickness?

Searched and read threads for hours, but haven't quite found the answer. I'm putting 275/75R18's on the stock rims on my daughter's '08 JK Sahara 2-door. Don't know of I'll do a lift yet, but I know I'll need spacers. Looking at Spidertrax, it seems like they come in thicknesses from 1" to 1-3/4". What's my best bet? Don't want the tires way out of the fenders, but a slightly wider stance would be nice. Thanks in advance-Jeff

Stock 18s and the stock duelers. I ran 1.5" spacers. My tires went maybe .5" past the fenders. The stock Rims keep the tires well in the well. I wouldn't go less than an 1".

Thanks, guys-1-1/2" it is. Gunbo-did you get your locally, or mail order? I'm in So. Walnut Creek. If I can get the spacers around here, I can do the tires this weekend instead of waiting until they come in...

Spacers less than 1.5" might require you to grind the ends of your wheel studs. Check out my album for some installed pictures. Don't forget to Loc-tite the nuts around 95ft lbs, then double check them after 100 miles at 85ft lbs. Good luck!
