Spacers...how safe are they?

Is the loss of turning radius significant? I DO like the manoueverability of my Jeep. (I saw someone mention a 5" gain in stance, but aren't most spacers 1.5" each, not 2.5"?)
1.5" spacers will increase the track by 3". You can find 1.25" and 1.375" as well as 1.5". Double the width of the spacer to determine in the increase in track.

That was me who posted the 5" increase in track width. I had just posted to a TF coil thread and I had 2.5" on the brain or lack there of. Your track will increase 3" but it does make a difference.

Just a very simple of reference, when my JK was stock I used to easily make a U-turn on my street without second thoughts. With 35s and the spacers even if pull way over to the right, I can just barely make the same turn.
